Annual Pilgrimage to Scalan
This year marks the 300th anniversary of the foundation of the college at Scalan in 1716 and a special Mass will be held to mark the occasion at 4pm on Sunday 3rd July. (Scalan can be reached by leaving Tomintoul on the A939 (B9008 Dufftown). Just beyond Auchnarrow, about five miles later, Scalan is signposted on the right on an unclassified but good road, with passing places). Save the Date!
I know that you will find it difficult to believe (so youthful do I seem to you!) but I will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of my ordination to the priesthood this year. I will be marking it with a Mass of Thanksgiving at 7pm on Friday 2nd September at the Cathedral followed by a reception at the Café. If you are free – it would be lovely if you were able to join me in thanking God for this quarter century!
SPREAD
SPREAD is a scheme to help those with special needs get the most out of Catholic liturgy and worship. It is an excellent initiative and has been running in the Diocese for many years. Next Sunday the Diocesan convener will be speaking about SPREAD at the end of Mass in the hope that we might be able to start a SPREAD group here soon.

Ordinations to the Priesthood – 7pm this Friday
His Grace Archbishop Cushley will be ordaining two young men, Rev. Jaimie McMorrin and Rev. Tony Lappin, to the priesthood at 7pm this Friday 24th June in the Cathedral. This is an important Diocesan event and it would be good if as many people as possible from the Parish could attend. The Ordination Ceremony is beautiful and moving and I do hope you will try to be present if you can.

Renting/Buying in Ravelston/Craigleith/Blackhall Area
My father, a quiet, retired geography lecturer currently living in Forres , is looking to move closer to his grandchildren. He would like to buy a 1 or 2 bedroomed ground floor flat in Ravelston/Craigleith/Blackhall area.
He would also be interested in renting initially, to allow him to view property.
