Young Adults’ Group

The group continues to meet each Wednesday. This week, after the 7.30pm Mass for All Saints in the Cathedral, we will have a guided Holy Hour before the Blessed Sacrament, ending with Benediction. All under-35s welcome.

Parish Pilgrimage to Rome

Rome

Rome

Another reminder that there will be a meeting this coming Monday at 7pm in the hall for those interested in going on the parish pilgrimage to Rome between 11-15 June 2018 which will include the celebration of our parishioner, Patrick Harrigan’s ordination to the diaconate in the Basilica of St Paul’s-Outside-the-Walls. Even if you didn’t register interest by signing up a few weeks’ ago, you are still welcome to come along to the meeting to find out more.

Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed (All Souls)

All Souls’ Day is a beautiful commemoration in which we have a particular opportunity to pray for our loved ones who have died. November is traditionally the month of the holy souls, so perhaps you might consider having Mass offered for a loved one during this month. Mass intention envelopes are available at the back of the church. Having selected your preferred date and time, you can place a donation inside and either hand it to a priest or put it in the collection plate. Intentions are published in the newsletter.

Solemnity of All Saints

This Wednesday is the Solemnity of All Saints and is a holyday of obligation, which means that we are all obliged to attend Mass. Mass will be celebrated here at 7.30pm, but there is an abundance of Masses being celebrated at the Cathedral, at 8am, 10.30am, 12.45pm and 7.30pm, so we look forward to seeing you at one of them.
